The collection contains photocopies of a 1-page typewritten biography of Arthur St. Clair with a photo of his portrait by Charles Willson Peale; 3-page handwritten family history; four drawings and a handwritten description of Rosslyn Castle, before 1700, the chief home of the St. Clair family in Scotland; 3-page handwritten biographical sketch of St. Clair written by William Egle, circa 1918, with a handwritten transcript, 1979; 3-page excerpts of obituaries and marriage of St. Clair's widow, children, and grandchildren; 1-page handwritten "Thanksgiving Proklamation," 1788 signed by Arthur St. Clair's secretary; handwritten letter, Arthur St. Clair to his son, Arthur, 16 Nov. 1803; handwritten transcript of speech from chiefs of Ottawa towns to Europeans along Stoney Creek/Maumee River, 11 Aug. 1799; and a 14-page handwritten transcript of St. Clair's obituary from 1818, sent to Annie Lane, 2 May 1896, from her aunt.
